Lift every voice.

There are so many special stories in the world and we often never get to meet the authors to share our gratitude in person. I am fortunate to have worked alongside C.M. Carbins and experienced the beauty of her perspective firsthand.

Her book is an excellent place for parents to start if they seek to understand emotional regulation through the eyes of a child. Every child’s voice matters and the smallest moments can turn into big problems if left unaddressed. This is a simple snapshot of the life of a child, their experiences, and their natural coping mechanisms that can be used to build strong foundational skills for the future.

I met Ms. Carbins while working for the Court Appointed Special Advocates Program (C.A.S.A.).

This program supports and promotes court-appointed volunteer advocacy for children and youth who have experienced abuse or neglect.

This program believes that every child should be given the opportunity to thrive in a safe and loving home.

In this line of tiring work, Ms. Carbins was able to shine her empowering light into some very dark moments.

I am grateful for the time we shared and the inspiration that came out of it.

I am sharing a piece of Ms. Carbin’s light for you and your family to enjoy.

“This book is for all children who feel as though they do not matter and don’t have a voice. Know that you do matter and you are not alone. Go forth, be strong, and be encouraged.”
